This tire is a great choice for wooden rim and steel clad wooden rim classic bikes as well as modern gravel bikes.
This is Challenge's fastest gravel tire and is also their toughest, most versatile road tire – race it hard or just head off the beaten path. The Strada Bianca combines Challenge’s proven herringbone tread pattern with larger volumes to take you comfortably over less-than-perfect surfaces. This is the tire for rough roads, packed dirt and most dry gravel surfaces.
This handmade PRO version combines a supple, 260TPI Super Polyester casing with our durable SmartPlus compound.
A tubeless tubular is glued to the rim just like a regular tubular and from the outside there is no way to detect a difference, but an interior coating makes sewing an inner tube inside the tire unnecessary. This "tubular without a tube" offers next-level protection from pinch flats or punctures when combined with Challenge Smart Tubeless Sealant.
This tire uses a French (presta) valve. This can be glued or taped to the rim. We recommend having this done by a professional bike mechanic. (We recommend going to a shop that specializes in high end road bikes.)
