This double wall wheelset is designed to pay tribute to the old Peregrine HP rim.
The rim is a sturdy double wall with a welded seam and chrome plated finish. It has an I-beam down the center of the rim for extra stiffness so the spoke holes are a bit more staggard than the OG's. They are basically the same rim as the Haro Lineage HPF but no decals or logos on it.
The spokes are chrome plated carbon steel. These are much shinier than most any stainless spoke. They are actual chrome, not the UCP spoke that most shops call chrome. The nipple are 16mm plated brass. They are laced 4X.
The hubs are 48-hole freewheel, sealed cartridge bearing aluminum hubs that have a high flange design. The hubs have a chrome plated aluminum shell. They will work with most single speed thread-on freewheels that are 16t and larger with the common 1.37x24t threads. The OLD spacing is 100mm Front, 110mm rear.
Included is a pair of 25mm Nylon rim strips.
*The freewheel threads are approx 13mm deep which means that Shimano, ACS Claw and White Industries freewheels won't fit because they bottom out before they are fully threaded onto the hub. Most any other 16t or larger freewheel will fit.
